Reliability and preventative maintenance are key in the smooth operation of complex, mechanical systems.  As a skilled reliability engineer your experience makes you an important part of how successfully a plant operates.

If you thrive in a production driven environment with a strong support team, this opportunity will attract you.  Our client, a large scale, highly integrated fertilizer complex in Saskatchewan is seeking an Rotating Equipment Engineer who will be responsible for the maintenance and optimization of equipment, procedures and, reliability.

The Role:

  • Be the main technical support for a specific production unit in the plant;
  • Create and contribute to plant reliability initiatives;
  • Manage capital projects as well as provide engineering input to other projects;
  • Supervise shut downs;
  • Train others on equipment or engineer related subjects for maintenance and operations personnel;
  • Troubleshoot plant and equipment problems; and
  • Work closely with the QA/QC department.

You and Your Experience:

  • You have a Degree in Mechanical Engineering;
  • You have the ability to work as a member of a team yet you can also provide leadership and are considered an excellent teacher and mentor;
  • You consider yourself a strong and clear communicator and you enjoy problem solving;
  • You have strong organizational and prioritization skills and are a self sufficient individual;
  • Are you are not afraid to make decisions and have a strong analytical mind;
  • You have had Hazop training and have a strong focus on safety;
  • You are experienced with piping and pressure vessel theory and application; and
  • While not a requirement, having experience in the following industries is a definite asset: Ammonia, Urea or Oil and Gas.
